  • Are YOUR Workout Clothes More Like "Disposable" Ones?

    ss_MIL607-BKPL

When I work out in the morning, I always have a certain workout routine—I run on the treadmill for about 30 to 45 minutes, and then I go for the weights. I know running on a treadmill as soon as I get up is not the most exciting thing to do, and sometimes I have to drag myself to the gym, but I do feel great once I get on the treadmill and start running.

Whenever I run, I normally listen to my iPod and focus on my running, but there are times when I start thinking about “random” stuff while listening to my music, such as “what should I wear today?, when should I meet my friend?, what should I eat for lunch?,” and you know, all those kinds of “random” thoughts.

When I was running on the treadmill this morning, another random thought occurred to me.More Here...

    z206278370

According to the American Council on Exercise, here are the top five fitness trends for 2010 (based on a survey of personal trainers and others). (Source from amNew York).

    1. Cost-conscious workouts at fitness clubs: The impact of the economy continues to affect the programming at health clubs.
    2. Group training: Individuals will scale back on personal trainer sessions.
    3. Time-efficient workouts: Shorter yet higher intensity workouts will be more appealing.
    4. Specialty exercise classes: Health clubs will offer more speciality classes, such as ethnic dance.
    5. Exergaming: Fitness based video games will become more popular.

Are there any other 2010 fitness trends that you know about?

  • Would It Be Still Healthy To Substitue Drinking Plenty Of "Water" With Something Else?

    DrinkingWater

In order to stay healthy, one of the most important things to keep in mind is to drink plenty of water. I’ve been trying to follow this tip these days and drink enough water every day, but since I love drinking tea, I mostly get my fluid not from pure water, but from either tea or coffee. But I’m not sure if I can keep on “substituting” drinking plenty of “water” with either “tea” or “coffee.”

Do you drink a lot of water every day? Do you mostly drink “pure water” or “substitute” tea or coffee like I do?  Do you think this is still considered “healthy” just as long as we get enough “fluid” for our body?

  • Is It BAD To Eat RIGHT AFTER Your Workout?

    post-workout

Whenever I finish working out in the morning, I always wait for at least 30 minutes to an hour to have my bowl of cereal and eggs. When I say “wait,” I don’t literally mean sitting down and “waiting” for 30 minutes to pass by; If I take a shower, get dressed, and do other stuff, that’s just how much time it takes, and plus I like to have breakfast after all my “morning chores.”

Besides that reason, there are two more reasons as to why I “avoid” eating right after exercising. First of all, I can’t really eat anything RIGHT AFTER my workout because I’m always so out of breathe and too exhausted to eat anything. If I do, I’d ALWAYS get indigestion.
